IEP Facilitation: How to Create a More Meaningful Outcome and More Enjoyable Process for Everyone
Do you
want to learn skills that will build better teams to develop quality IEPs for
the student? How can teachers and parents improve collaboration, develop more
open communication and implement facilitation skills? Do you want to be ready
to use new skills and resources at your next meeting? Hear about
the new State IEP Facilitation Program offered by the Texas Education Agency as
a dispute resolution option.
Participants,
teachers and parents, will:
- Identify skills, practices and
tools of facilitation that can be effective in the IEP process.
- Walk through the Parent’s
Guide to IEP Facilitation and other resources.
- Review the three levels of
facilitation used in Texas special education.
- Select facilitation strategies to use in your next meeting.
